WINE BRINGS TO LIGHT THE HIDDEN SECRETS OF THE SOUL - HORACE.

Meeting point: the office at 10:00am.

Packed my carry-on that morning for a road trip to Hunter Valley with the team for our so called team bonding excursion. Of course that means I had to make sure my camera was charged up and the spare battery was ready to go because wine makes people relax and I can't miss the chance to capture picture of my colleagues having let loose, I'm kidding. I just want to take heaps of photos for everyone to look back on the good memories we'll make.

As you can see, I have a thing for black and white. Just bought my Samsonite white hard-case carry-on, it fits everything and makes a good stool for that cool look shot. Also it looks great when I wear full black. It's the perfect weekend trip away luggage. Another thing that I love doing is trying on other people's sunnies. It's so much fun because every pair changes the way you look.

Selfies aside [all taken on my work IPhone], I've only ever been to Hunter Valley once before with some girlfriends so this will definitely be different as I'll be going with people I worked with and actually staying there with them. I had organised a wine tour for the first day so that everyone can sit back and enjoy. Two Fat Blokes. These guys are the oldest wine tour team in Hunter Valley and it was nice to not have to worry about who will be the designated driver. We did a half day tour so they took us to a couple of places.

1. Ivanhoe Wines

2. Two Fat Blokes Cafe

3. Glandore Estate Wines

I'll be the first to admit that I go red very quickly, like instantaneously quick. My colleagues were all like "wow you go so red!" So yes I am aware that I look drunk even though it's just a glass. However, by the time we got to our last stop at Glandore Estate Wines, everyone was like "no more" because they could feel it in their head while I was still pretty sober, but let's just keep that secret between you and me. I like the idea that I can turn down a drink because I look red enough. I don't drink to get high or drunk, I drink more for social occasions so I don't like to get drunk.

Our first stop at Ivanhoe gave us a breathtaking view of the winery and our host was so informative and fun that we actually went back the next day to buy some wines.

The 2nd stop was at the Two Fat Blokes Cafe and it was all about the cheese, well okay it was a wine and cheese tasting but I was more focus on the cheese. I can go into dept about the cheeses but then this will post will never end.

Moscato Granita, this was amazing, for the sweet tooth lovers.

Our last stop was Glandore Estate Wines. My manager at this point was like "let me have a look, you've been taking photos non-stop since we arrived in Hunter Valley." Of course, this resulted in her taking the camera and taking photos of me instead. I will learn not to hand my camera over next time because all I heard was the shutter non-stop, but I guess this is were the memories are made and nothing beats candid shots. I did take a lot of photo of everyone in their candid moments but for privacy sake, I will not post pictures of them, so instead it'll just be photos of me. Sorry in advance.

The day ended with too much wine, a lot of cheese and the most beautiful sunset in the Valley. Well okay there was still dinner after this but I'll leave that for another post. I admit the one thing I regret, was not bringing my tripod because the stars were so close that it felt like I could reach up and grab them from the sky. Shaky hands does not do the night sky justice and so even though I manage to take a few shot, I'm embarrassed to put them up because you can see the shake.

Next time, I will definitely bring my tripod for the midnight sky.
